You can support this campaign in the way that feels best to you. We are accepting donations via multiple platforms, including GoFundMe, PayPal, Facebook, Instagram, and directly through our website. Additionally, you can Register for an Event, Purchase Merchandise, or create a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser to support this campaign. All contributions across platforms are tracked and combined into the progress bar above, reflecting our full community effort.

Current Goal: Sanctuary Development

Real change happens when care, commitment, and community come together in service of those who cannot speak for themselves. Pause Animal Wellness Sanctuary (PAWS) was founded to rescue animals from uncertain futures and provide an environment that truly supports their nervous systems and well-being in the long term.

We are now working toward a permanent property, a space that will allow us to care for hundreds of animals over time. To move forward, we need your help to secure the foundational resources required to sustain this vision with integrity.

While this fundraising goal provides financial support for some of these costs and allows us to expand our current operations and make a greater impact, the vision for PAWS is so much larger, and the funds raised will only help with a portion of the costs for these aspects. Thus, we are actively seeking philanthropists, angel investors, strategic partners, and additional grants to support our mission and help create a sustainable sanctuary for animals and humans alike.

Deeper Why

Real change is never created alone, and meaningful acts of service require a village. Every year, millions of animals worldwide experience homelessness, neglect, abuse, and euthanasia due to overcrowded shelters, a lack of understanding, insufficient resources, and systemic limitations. Official statistics vary as they do not account for the unreported and informal cases; regardless, the scope of the problem is clear: we are living amid a true animal crisis.

We believe this crisis reflects a deeper disconnect in how humanity relates to nature and life. Animals do not have a voice. They cannot advocate for themselves. Their well-being depends on human responsibility. At PAWS, we accept this responsibility.

  • Yes. PAWS is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, and donations are tax-deductible in accordance with applicable IRS regulations. We’re happy to provide documentation if needed.

  • PAWS is an animal sanctuary and wellness center dedicated to rescuing animals while creating mutual healing spaces for both animals and the humans who care for them. PAWS is committed to rescuing animals from otherwise uncertain futures, helping them find homes and environments that truly support their nervous systems, well-being, and long-term stability. Whether they remain with us for the length of their lives or are temporarily housed until we have found them their perfect forever home. Our work centers on safety, healing, and honoring the human–animal bond. We are currently in the process of securing a permanent location to expand our capacity to save lives and connect hearts.

  • As we move to our permanent property, supporting PAWS will benefit the local community by providing a long-term sanctuary for animals in need, as well as another source of adoptions and foster opportunities.  Through heart-centered education, volunteer opportunities, and community events, we strive to strengthen connection and well-being for both animals and people. With time, PAWS seeks to collaborate with local and global businesses, nonprofits, and veterinarians for community events and work with shelters in surrounding high-kill states to achieve higher save rates.

  • PAWS is more than a sanctuary for animals; it is a space for healing, connection, and learning for humans as well. We believe in heart-centered living and meditation as tools to cultivate compassion, deepen understanding, and strengthen bonds with our animal companions. PAWS strives to create spaces for mutual healing between animals and the humans who care for them. As we work toward securing land and expanding our capacity to rescue and care for animals, we are laying the foundation for a future where both animals and humans can heal, grow, and thrive together.
