Wellness Wednesday
Happy Wellness Wednesday! Today, we are focusing on wellness through the human-animal bond.
Some of the most meaningful connections we form do not require words. They are simple and shared through our presence and energy.
A bond with an animal can often be one of these connections and can provide some of the purest forms of comfort without needing language.
Our animals may not know the full details of our day, yet they can sense what we are going through. They know when we are sad, depleted, happy, and uplifted. Our animals are always responding to our energy, what we are feeling, and what we are projecting outward. When we are sad, they will be a soul to rest with. When we are joyful, they will be there to play and dance with us.
Sharing a space with our animals, taking time to connect with them in our hearts, and recognizing the unconditional love that they are, can help us remember that there is another being who truly understands us. These quiet moments of presence with one another can be more than enough to remind us that with them, we are never alone.
Today the invitation is to take a few moments in presence with your pets, whether they are right next to you or across the room; allow your awareness to settle fully into the space you are in. Be where you are with your pet and allow yourself to appreciate the bond you share from the smallest of moments to the moments that will stay with you for years to come.
Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday, full of simple moments tending to yourself and connecting with your beloved animal family.
You may already know that we share regular posts on the PAWS Instagram and Facebook every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
And we understand that not everyone who is part of the PAWS community follows us on Social Media, so we have decided to start bringing some of these posts to our PAWS Blog. We cannot promise all of them will make it onto the blog, though we will do our best. If you would like to ensure you receive all of our postings, please follow us on our Social Media Accounts.
A relationship where presence itself is a form of communication is truly special.
These relationships are deeply shared, which is why learning to notice an animal’s body language, needs, boundaries, and ways of communicating allows us to offer that same kind of care in return.
This mutual relationship between human and animal wellness is central to the future PAWS.
We are currently fundraising to help establish our permanent sanctuary and reach the amount needed to unlock our matching grant. Your support helps us move closer to creating a space where relationships like these can be nurtured every day.
Every donation and share helps us move one step closer to reaching our goal!
