Happy Wellness Wednesday!

Have you noticed how animals have a wonderful way of bringing people together?

Maybe you're having dinner with a group of people you barely know, attending a family gathering where conversations can sometimes feel a little uncomfortable, or simply trying to find something in common with someone you've just met.

And then somehow the conversation turns to animals!

Suddenly, people are sharing stories about their dogs, cats, horses, and cows, showing pictures, laughing about the funny things their animals do, or talking about the animals they've loved throughout their lives.

It's amazing how something as simple as talking about our animals can make a conversation feel easier.

Animals can serve as social catalysts, helping us find common ground and making it easier to connect with one another. When we think about the ways animals contribute to our well-being, this is such an interesting aspect of the human-animal bond.

We often recognize the companionship, comfort, and love they bring into our lives, but they can also help us feel more comfortable in our relationships with other people.

For today's Wellness Wednesday, the invitation is to reflect on the ways animals have helped you connect with others. Have you ever found yourself in an uncomfortable social situation where talking about animals helped break the ice?

At PAWS, we love exploring the many ways the human-animal bond contributes to our overall well-being and strengthens the connections we share with one another.

As we continue expanding our work, we invite you to support our $55,000 fundraising goal and help us unlock the matching funding that will help us make a greater impact.

Every donation and share helps us move one step closer to reaching our goal!

You may already know that we share regular posts on the PAWS Instagram and Facebook every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

And we understand that not everyone who is part of the PAWS community follows us on Social Media, so we have decided to start bringing some of these posts to our PAWS Blog. We cannot promise all of them will make it onto the blog, though we will do our best. If you would like to ensure you receive all of our postings, please follow us on our Social Media Accounts.
